Home Sale Prices Show Slight Increase!

Looking for a little good news? The three month period ending in May showed a 1/2% increase in home sales price average in 15 of 20 major metropolitan areas.
Want a little more good news? Home sales have now increased three consecutive months (ending in June) with in increase in housing starts as well.
While this thumbnail is encouraging and indicates that low interest rates and the $8000 tax credit are helping, we still have quite a ways to go to flush foreclosures and short sales from the system...but it is most encouraging after the dismal 3 year performance of the housing market.
